I took in a breath of fresh air, and let out a sigh of relief – after three months, I finally turned my journey into ‘journal’. As I painstakingly looked through the photos and recalled each moment and each day, I was reliving the whole journey, it was like I was travelling again. And I could vividly see…
…the mountains, the splendid view, the clear blue sky, the snow falling, the rough and bumpy journey, the treacherous road, the rivers flowing, the birds chirping, the beautiful flowers, the horses refusing to budge, the laughter of the people around, the smiles on the faces, kids playing, kids going to schools, the dzongs, devotees twirling prayer wheels in one hand and moving the beads in the other while chanting, the hot chillies dish…
And I have one wish – I wish one day I could be back there again, to explore the unexplored. But, if only it is not so expensive, yes, IF ONLY…

Travelling and photos
Travelling is not just about the journey or
the beautiful scenery,
it is about the experience and the memory
it brings along, and it is life-long.
You capture your experience both in
your memory and in camera.
When your memory finally fails you,
it will refresh your memory;
when you are down and out,
it will cheer you up;
when you are bored,
it will absorb your boredom;
when you run out of money to travel,
it will make you a ‘couch’-traveller;
when you are tired and unwell to travel,
it will ‘rejuvenate’ your spirit.
So travelling and photos go ‘hand-in-hand’.
Corporate ladder vs. mountain
Which would you choose: climb corporate
ladder or climb mountain?
I would choose the latter, because it will
lead me to spectacular views.
The former would lead me to
tons of work as high as the mountain!

One thing which I regret I have not done / achieved yet.
None, because there are too many and trying to make good now.
One thing which I wish I am better off.
Better ears – musically. No, actually I wish I can take better photos.
One thing which I (almost) can’t do without with while travelling.
Nescafe – will bring my own if necessary.
One thing which I miss most while travelling.
Home – after something like ten days.
One thing which touches my heart most during the journey.
The broad smile on the children’s faces when they are given simple things like sweets and ball-pens.
One thing which I miss most after the trip.
The people (both the travellers and the local people), the places, the scenery – just about everything – in short, the trip itself!
One thing which I spend most time on after each trip.
Printing photos (soon will be a bygone day), downloading photos, writing the ‘journals’, looking at the photos and more looking… (oops, this is more than one thing!)
One place which I wish to visit but think it is unlikely to materialise.
The Arctic – and walk alongside the polar bears!
One thing which upsets me most.
Not being on time.
The Journey of Discovery
Do you know where you are heading to or what to expect at your destination? Very often the answer is ‘NO’…
Sometimes it makes you feel like you are on top of the world,
at other times, you may stumble & fall and don’t feel like getting up.
The journey may be filled with surprises and mysteries…,
it brings you joy and laughter, occasionally tears and pains.
Somedays you feel so tired that you don’t feel like walking anymore,
somedays you can’t wait for tomorrow to arrive.
The journey of Life is very much similar to this journey of discovery…
